Content Filtering
IT HELP filters automatically block inappropriate websites based on the categorizations you define. IT HELP also monitors and logs all user web activity. In addition to the automatic filter rules, administrators can define customized white and black lists per desktop, IP range or user/group. IT HELP's URL database of over 100+ million scanned websites is comprehensive and growing.
 
Pass Thru Appliance
IT HELP appliances come standard with network pass thru networking cards. If your IT HELP ceases to operate for any reason the network card will automatically pass through all network traffic to your devices. This ensures IT HELP will not be a point of failure in your network.
 
Active Directory Connector
IT HELP's Directory Connector is designed to leverage your Microsoft Active Directory server to simplify policy management and enrich reporting. Directory Connector can be used for:

  • Reporting by user name
  • Enforcing policy, such as web content restrictions, by user name and by group name
  • Leverages existing Active Directory deployments
  • Authenticate by Directory Connector username
  • Logging & reporting by Directory Connector username
  • Runs at the gateway with no client software to install
  • Reporting (PDF & HTML) and logging to monitor network, system & user behavior
Policy Manager
Policy Manager enables administrators to fine tune network privileges. Policy Manager's intuitive GUI and "virtual rack" metaphor makes it easy for administrators to:

  • Create network access policies by username
  • Create network access policies by time or day of the week
  • Assign permission to users for applications such as instant messenger, gaming, and video streaming.
  • More easily manage and automate multiple Internet usage policies across organizations
  • Automated sessions within Policy Manager allow organizations to “time-out” certain policy changes, for example allowing IM or Facebook access only during lunch hours
 
Protocol Control
Lets administrators control which services they allow on their network. If your organization does not allow IM traffic, a couple clicks of the mouse will do just that. Want to deny access to facebook or other social networking sites? That’s easy too with a couple clicks. Full logging of traffic is also part of the solution.
 
Monitoring and Logging
All network activity monitored by IT HELP is logged in real time to daily reports which can be viewed online or emailed / downloaded as a full PDF report. Reports include detailed traffic analysis with full visual graphs. IT HELP is a complete system for any size network to lock down, monitor and control all aspects of IP traffic to the outside world.
 
Spyware Filtering
Websites containing spyware are automatically blocked by IT HELP . This helps ensure that your network stays spyware free. Spyware filtering is custom configurable with default blocks for cookies, Malware, Active X, Spyware, Ads, URL's and much more.
 
Anti-Phish Filter
Phishing is a way of getting people to visit websites that they don’t want or intend to. When you block Phishing at the network level, users won't need to worry about being directed to compromised or inappropriate websites. IT HELP scans Mail traffic and allows for a configurable level of action based on results.
 
Network Level Anti-Virus
Monitors all inbound and outbound traffic providing an extra layer of anti-virus protection occurring from file transfers or website virus distribution. Consider IT HELP to be an extra layer of anti-virus protection that works in conjunction with your desktop AV but does so (silently) at the network level. Scans, web, email and FTP traffic.
 
Intrusion Prevention
IT HELP scans network traffic and looks for undesired incoming probes or traffic and then denies them network access. Intrusion Prevention can be shaped and tailored by the Administrator to their preference or left as default.
 
Attack Blocker
IT HELP also watches for malicious traffic like Does attacks and more. It will shut down these attacks automatically. It is based on a heuristic based intrusion prevention and requires no configuration. Users can modify the treatment of certain IP and/or networks on the exception tab.
 
Open VPN
IT HELP can be used as a full VPN client or server.
 
Firewall/Router
IT HELP can be used as a full router and firewall if desired (or used in conjunction with the networks current firewall / router setup). It is a true firewall in that the administrator must decide what incoming traffic to allow when firewall rules are enabled. The router portion provides the following:

  • Full NAT or classic routing modes
  • Fully configurable Authoritative DHCP server
  • Internal, External and DMZ network control.
  • Port Forwarding
  • Hostname control with Dynamic DNS
  • QoS control
 
Ad Blocker
Ad Blocker enables administrators to block web ads at the gateway by transparently removing them from web pages. Benefits include:

  • Easier to read web pages without distracting ads
  • Improved page download times
  • Reduced traffic on the network
WAN Failover
WAN Failover allows companies to prevent network downtime caused by their Internet Service Provider (ISP). The appliance detects when your primary Internet link goes down and then switches traffic to a backup connection automatically. When used with WAN Balancer, WAN Failover detects downtime and reroutes traffic to the remaining Internet links.

  • Automatically detects Internet outages and switches to the backup provider
  • Customize thresholds and tests per connection
  • Logs Internet downtime making it easy to identify connections with poor reliability
Captive Portal
The IT HELP Captive Portal enables organizations to display a mandatory default web page to all users, before they are able to access the Internet.
